Tamara Bray joins Kathleen on the podcast. Tamara is Group Vice President and Chief Human Resources officer at DCP Midstream, a Fortune 500 natural gas company based in Denver, Colorado. Her wide range of duties includes employee and organizational development, culture, talent management, employee relations, and so much more. In part one, Tamara talks about some of the biggest changes she’s seen in HR in the past 30 years, the current state of talent scarcity, and the best way to measure productivity.

About Tamara Bray: Tamara is group vice president and chief human resources officer for DCP Midstream. Her responsibilities include employee and organizational development, culture, talent management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations. She also leads Public Affairs and Communication, Corporate Real Estate and Facilities & Real Estate.

Tamara joined DCP in 2014. Prior to that, she was the vice president of global people and organization development for Molson Coors Brewing Company. In that capacity, she led all global talent management, organization development, and compensation and benefits activities. Tamara joined Molson Coors from Dana Holding Corporation where she most recently was vice president of human resources for Europe and South Africa, having responsibility for all human resource activities in the region. Prior to this role, Tamara held several other key positions during her career with Dana including vice president of corporate human resources and senior director of off-highway and commercial vehicle technologies group. In addition to her roles at Dana, Tamara has served in key HR roles at Bechtel Corporation and Ford Motor Company. Through the course of Tamara’s career, she’s been responsible for all aspects of human resources, including performance management, compensation and benefits, health and safety, labor and employee relations, employee and organizational development, culture change, strategic planning and M&A. She is well versed in manufacturing operations and LEAN manufacturing processes, and she is passionate about helping organizations achieve operating efficiencies and develop positive cultures to impact the bottom line.

Previously Tamara served on the Denver Dumb Friends League Board of Directors for six years and is presently on the Board of Trustees for Denver-based Wonderbound, a contemporary ballet company.

Tamara earned a bachelor of science degree from Purdue University and a master’s degree in organizational communication from Purdue University, with an emphasis in human resources management.

Tamara and her husband, Patrick, live in Sedalia, Colorado.
